Tectonics: eyes and fault lines: motion rafted by the current between waking and sleeping. A desperate rendering of lust and ambitions, and other things, things called out in the night to be released from, things one couldn’t put their name to -  only sweat, and the squeak of molar against molar, and a headache in the morning, and a heart and throat married together.

There’s a mirror in the doorframe and the door is opened away. On the blank walls are silver hangers still swinging. There’s darkness and contrast in lightness. Memories have taken on water. Cobwebs have taken on dust. Heirlooms are split between us. Never has this mirror shone more harshly, or have I looked in it and seen what’s left behind.
